I'm Full, for Now

In honor of Joe Milkman, here's my 4th of July menu, before I forget:

- Clam roll, fries, and an IPA on Nantasket beach

On to the home of one Joe Crugnale, New England pizza god:

- Slice of cheese pizza

- Slice of potato and leek pizza

- Slice of tuna and capers pizza

- Slice of sausage pizza

- Slice of pepperoni pizza

- Two strips of calzone

- Grilled lamb cutlet

- Slice of cake

- Slice of ricotta pie

- 3 beers

- 2 Diet Cokes

- Half a slice of cheese before bed


- Leftover 2 slices for breakfast/lunch the next day

how'd you end up at joe crugnale's?

i think i remember reading somewhere that he went on to start up 'red sauce' after he left bertucci's ... is that true?

Thanks. I'm buddies with his son and nephew, so I'm lucky enough to get the invite every year he has a party. He spends most of the time hanging out with his buddies near a giant, outdoor brick oven, making pizza as if he were a Greek God creating ambrosia.

He went on to start up Naked Fish, Red Sauce and a few others, post-Bertucci's, but now he's down to just Naked Fish.
